Independence Day Celebrated with Great Enthusiasm at Maktab Islamiyat

Gorkhpur, August 15 – Maktab Islamiyat, Chingee Shaheed Imam Chowk, Turkmanpur, celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day with immense fervor and patriotism. The event featured a seminar where participants paid heartfelt tributes to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for India’s independence.

The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Abdus Samad, followed by the presentation of Naat-e-Pak and patriotic songs by children. The posters created by Shifa Khatoon were a major attraction.

  • Muzaffar Hussain Rumi, Senior Teacher at Central Academy and Chief Guest, emphasized the importance of education, time management, obedience to parents, and respect for elders in his address to the students.
  • Ali Ahmad, Senior Teacher and President of the event, urged students to adopt good habits.
  • Qari Muhammad Anas Razvi, who conducted the proceedings, highlighted various aspects of India’s struggle for independence, mentioning notable figures such as Raja Shah Inayat Ali, Sarfaraz Ali, Muhammad Hasan, and Sardar Ali, who sacrificed everything for the country’s freedom.
  • Mufti Muhammad Azhar Shamsi, Special Guest, shed light on the significant contributions and role of Muslims in India’s independence movement. He noted that Allama Fazle Haq Khairabadi issued a fatwa for jihad against the British from Delhi’s Jama Masjid, inspiring Hindus and Muslims to join forces against the colonial rulers.

The event was attended by prominent figures, including Hafiz Rehmat Ali Nizami, Nehal Ahmad, Asif Mahmood, Shams Alam, Sana Fatima, Sania, Asif, Sadiya Roshan, Fiza Khatoon, Shifa Noor, Khushi, Adeeba Fatima, Inaya Fatima, Rehmat Ali, Muhammad Shad, Muhammad Safiyan, Muhammad Tausif, and Altaf, among others.
