Indigenous Society for the Promotion of English Language and Literature (iSPELL India) organized its 116th Sahityik Satsang virtually at Zoom platform. The Keynote Speaker Dr Dhurjjati Sarma gave an illuminating talk on the topic titled “The “Comparative” World of Bhakti in Early Modern India”.
Mrs. Shweta Sur Das, Assistant Professor of English, Khairun Nessa Begum Women’s College, Karimganj, Assam passionately greeted literati fraternity as event Coordinator and proceeded further introducing Master of Ceremonies.
Dr Dhurjjati Sarma, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Modern English Languages and Literary Studies, Gauhati University, Assam as keynote speaker deliberated skillfully answering all queries of audience.
Ms. Sanghamitra L Konsam, Teacher of English, Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School, Haflong, Assam moderated the whole event successfully and took questions from curious audience as Master of Ceremonies. The session proved to be a communicative, informative and productive.
Being the chairperson, Dr. Prasanta Chakraborty, Vice President, ISPELL India and Professor of English, Holycross College, Agartala, Tripura meticulously summed up adding his insights in the deliberation.
Further on behalf of iSPELL India, Dr. Shalini Yadav, Professor of English, Compucom Institute of Technology and Management, Jaipur, Rajasthan honored Dr. Dhurjjati Sarma, Dr. Prasanta Chakraborty, Ms. Sanghamitra L Konsam and Mrs. Shweta Sur Das with certificates as an appreciation gesture.
The literary events of October month were successfully coordinated by Mrs. Das under the guidance of Prof. G A Ghanshyam, Founder and General Secretary, iSPELL India and Professor of English, Directorate of Higher Education, Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
All the technicalities were handled by Mr Pramod Dhengle, IT Coordinator and Assistant Professor of English, Dr. T. K. Tope College, Mumbai, Maharashtra.
At the end, Mrs. Das expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards the guests and dignified gathering of literarians for their cordial presence.
