Journalists hoisted the tiranga with pride, took a vow for free and fair writing

Indian Journalist Association (Regd.) celebrated Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Independence Day with great enthusiasm at National Administrative Office- Ghazi Rauza Tiraha, Dr. Aziz Ahmed Road, Gorakhpur, U.P. Flag Hoisting Chief Guest National President Seraj Ahmed Qureshi was welcomed by Zonal President Gorakhpur Rafi Ahmed by garlanding bouquets and journalists. Chief Guest National President Seraj Ahmad Quraishi and founder member of the organization Mohammad Parvez Akhtar jointly hoisted the flag and paid tribute to the known and unknown immortal martyrs of the grateful nation. Then leaving the tricolor balloon, gave the message of national unity. All the present journalists saluted the tricolor flag after chanting the National Anthem, National Song and Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Bharat Veero Ki Jai, Hindustan Zindabad and wished to enrich India’s unity, integrity and communal harmony with their writings. Addressing the journalists present at the flag hoisting ceremony, chief guest National President of the organization Seraj Ahmad Quraishi said that journalists played an important role in liberating India from the British. Remembering the pride of journalists, Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi, Maulana Hasrat Mohani said that if the journalists of that time did not fulfill their responsibility, today we would not be able to breathe in independent India. Journalists encouraged the public to fight the war against the British rule by filling enthusiasm and passion through newspapers and poetry. We should not forget the sacrifices of our martyrs.
